Top Ten Books Added to My TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is top ten books added to my TBR list. Since that list is oh so very long, I will be sticking to YA/MG fiction, and not including sequels.

Here are my top ten:

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, Becky Albertalli
I have just heard so much about this one, and it seems like exactly my kind of book. Can’t wait for it to be out!

None of the Above, I.W. Gregorio
This is also one that I’ve had my eyes on for awhile – I always look out for queer YA, but I don’t think I’ve come across another book on an intersexed teen before. I hope it’ll be good 🙂

More Happy Than Not, Adam Silvera
Another that’s been very hyped at all the blogs I visit.

You and Me and Him, Kris Dinnison
A book about two outsiders that become friends with lots of musical references – yes, sounds like something I’d want to read.

George, Alex Gino
A middle grade book about a girl named George that everyone seems to think is a boy.

Fans of the Impossible Life, Kate Scelsa
Honestly, this title went into my “want” list because of the cover. But it’s also the sort of contemporary fiction I usually like, so I’m looking forward to it.

Cut Both Ways, Carrie Mesrobian
This is a love triangle story. This is also a book I want to read. How can this be??

Dumplin’, Julie Murphy
Julie Murphy wrote Side Effects May Vary, which I’ve been interested in for awhile. And I love the fact that the main character of this story is a fat girl who is completely okay with her body.

All of the Above, James Dawson
Yes, another contemporary YA of the sort I’d immediately put in my “want” list. And by James Dawson, which is a plus.

Carry On, Rainbow Rowell
Technically, a spin-off from Fangirl, although Rainbow Rowell have said that this is not going to be Cath’s Carry On. Still, I want this book very much.

Besides these, there are lots of other books I’m looking forward to – like the new Nalo Hopkinson, the new Nnedi Okorafor, the new N.K. Jemisin, and Ken Liu’s short story collection… and then there’s also sequels like The Raven King, Winter, and Crimson Bound. I only hope that I’ll have time to read all of the books in this list! What are your favourite books in your TBR?

    1. I think it was only announced a couple of months ago, and won’t be published until the end of the year. But yeah, I can’t believe that we’ll actually get to read Carry On, Simon 😀
